Happy Lunar New Year from the Window in Slovakia

At the beginning of 2023, the Year of the Rabbit in China, the "Window of Shanghai" center of the State Scientific Library in Banská Bystrica sent greetings to the Shanghai Library, looking forward to richer cooperation and deeper friendship in the New Year ahead.

In the past 2022, relying on donated book resources of the "Window of Shanghai" and with cooperation of various local Chinese cultural institutions including the Confucius Institute, the "Window of Shanghai" center held a series of colorful activities, actively promoting China culture to Slovak readers. These include recording a video about China's traditional custom-Baojiaozi(making dumplings), organizing or holding lectures on "Nature within walls ", "The presentation of Chinese tea culture " and "Traditional Chinese dance ", and holding lectures given by local martial arts expertson Chinese Kung Fu. In addition, the center also offered classes and lectures about Chinese culture for Chinese-studying students at a high school in Banská Bystrica.
