NALRK is a modern information institute which doors are open for all who chooses the Book and Reading. At the disposal of the readers a whole range of information and services: e-catalog, Internet access and remote databases, virtual reference service, electronic document delivery, a rich collection of books, newspapers and magazines, multimedia publications. In NALRK fund more than 860 thousand units of storage are. In reading rooms at the same time can be engaged more than 500 readers. And in the halls Suhbat, Dialog and Kogildir provides comfortable environments for lectures, conferences, presentations, exhibitions and workshops.
NALRK is a member of the Library Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan (LARK), Library Association of Eurasia (LAE), the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
Shanghai Library and National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan established the cooperation in 2012.
